The sky's the limit to the definition of spirit dolls. To some people, a spirit doll is a magical talisman of protection, healing and comfort and to others they represent a connection to childhood or their inner child, imagination and fantasy. The Spirit Dolls that you'll find on my site have been a magical journey for me.

When I create a doll, I really don't know what the final outcome will be. It is like the spirit doll has a mind of its own. I'll start out with an idea of what she will look like - her color of hair, dress material, jewelry and adornment, etc and lo and behold; the pieces fit together in accordance with the doll's spirit, as I let go of my preconceived ideas and notions.

When I am finished with the doll, a name usually comes to me as well as her story seemingly out of thin air. I would have thought that the name and story would occur either before or during the process of her creation. This is what makes the creation of these dolls so absolutely fascinating and fun!
